I grew up in southern Minnesota, where I briefly attended college before moving to Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 19. When people ask me why I chose Omaha, it means they've probably never been there, at least not as a young person with a penchant for attending rock shows in people's basements.
In 2006, I returned to Minnesota and completed my BA at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. I graduated in May 2009 with a major in English and a minor in Photography.
I work as a freelance copywriter and editor for multiple websites and magazines. I'm also the owner and head editor of a small copywriting business. During off times, I work as a freelance photographer, shooting weddings, concerts, portraits, and contract assignments for the occasional publication.
Both my writing and my photography have their personal sides, too. I write short fiction and poetry, and plan to pursue an MFA in creative writing in the near future. I also shoot artistic photography and dabble in digital effects and mixed media work.
This website is a small, in-progress sampling of some of my work, both visual and literary, both official and experimental.
